Our Signature Event

Historic Tyler on Tour

Since 1981, our largest annual fundraiser has opened the doors of Tyler's most beautifully preserved homes — each spring, during the city's celebrated Azalea Trails.

A Tyler Tradition

Forty-five years of open doors

Historic Tyler on Tour began in 1981 and has run every spring since. Over those decades, more than 200 homeowners have welcomed the public inside their historic houses — not as museums, but as living homes — to show what thoughtful preservation makes possible.

Every ticket directly supports the year-round work of Historic Tyler: advocacy before the city, historical markers, restoration grants, and the nominations that create new historic districts.

Thank you for joining us for Historic Tyler on Tour 2026. Plans for the 2027 tour — our 50th anniversary edition — are underway. New memberships open each summer; members enjoy the best ticket pricing.

The tour traces Tyler's historic neighborhoods — a city whose street grid has been mapped since the 19th century.
